trg tech held it’s first-ever student workshop, titled ‘From Graduation to Employment...the steps in between’ on June 1, 2010. This FREE workshop was designed for students who are unfamiliar with the work environment or have never given interviews before. The objective was to provide students guidance, build their confidence and prepare them for what to expect when they go out in the industry. Six participants were invited to the FTC office for the workshop which discussed resumes, cover letters, pre/post interview endeavours, the interview process, what interviewers look for and how to create a good impression during your first week at work. The session was kept extremely informal, at the end of which participants were allowed to voice their concerns. One-to-one discussions were also held in which each participant was actively involved.
