trg tech conducts Technical Talk @ FAST

As part of our responsibility to share our knowledge base and expertise with the upcoming talented youth, we held the first Tech Talk of the quarter at FAST-NU in Karachi on 16th March 2010. The speaker for this talk was Raza Ali, Director Architecture, and his topic was ‘Software Project Management using Agile Methods’. The tech talk was directed towards a packed auditorium of third and fourth year students of BS Computer Science and proved to be an enriching learning experience for all.

Raza Ali introduced the concept of Agile principles in software development, with emphasis on the Scrum approach and how it creates opportunities to learn new skills and new ways of working together. He went on to dispel confusions and misunderstandings about adoption of Agile practices in the Pakistani software development environment giving practical examples. The talk was kept interactive with students contributing to the discussion and posing questions to the speaker. Through the trg tech Technical Talk Series we hope to add some industry and practical knowledge to university curriculums, giving students a taste of real-life scenarios and providing awareness about changing trends and innovations.
