trg tech sponsored and organised the 8th Annual P@SHA ICT Awards which took place at Sheraton on 6th October, 2011. This year, trg tech brought to the event a rousing mix of mystery, wit, humour and appreciation to give this year’s Awards a literally ‘colourful’ flavour.

The event’s theme was shrouded in mystery and delegates received the first of many surprises at the entrance where they were asked to ‘Pick a Colour’ based on their tech personality – Smart, Charismatic, Creative or Brave – and were led to four distinct sections within the hall. The Award ceremony itself was a tribute to Queen’s music, and the entire ICT Industry swayed, clapped and hooted as they heard snatches of Freddie’s most famous songs while the winners were escorted to the stage. To lighten the mood the awards were punctuated with a set of crowd engaging, personality specific activities, inviting participants to ‘Walk the Ramp’, ‘Do the Dare’, ‘Solve the Puzzle’ and ‘Think Different’. The attendees were kept entertained through out the show, with an electrifying onstage performance to Queen’s famous number ‘Under Pressure’, and a liberal sprinkling of humour through out.

This year the Awards considered nominations for 18 categories, including ‘Best in Innovative HR Practice’ which was taken away by trg tech’s pioneering Genius Hunt program. The Awards were successful at not only recognising accomplishments in the ICT Industry but also in providing an enjoyable evening for the 500 plus professionals in attending. It provided an opportunity for the industry to mingle and network, and trg tech’s efforts in making this year’s awards refreshingly different were lauded and appreciated.
